WiIl the US finally sign Kyoto?

Glad some mayors are putting the pressure on:

Rebuffing Bush, 132 Mayors Embrace Kyoto Rules

If the US could commit to international emissions reductions, well, that would be quite a thing.

Bush will never accept global warming. He is one obstinate man, never listening to reason, but rather the energy companies that hired him. 51-49 percent went to Bush, so there are many Americans not so happy with him. The USA will not sign Kyoto, but there are at least three states in the USA that are leading the way, California, Washington and some other one... combined they make up a large portion of the car markets.. California emission standards are already pretty tough. The local level is a good way to get things started, maybe even better and more practical than instituting a top down approach from the federal government. People in USA are always resistent to what some man in Washington DC tells them they "have" to do.
